Crofton Park

Tony Rich new community development worker

Hello my name is Tony Rich and I am the new Community Development Worker for the Crofton Park ward. From now until the end of March 2017 I will be working 17.5 hours per week supporting local organisations to set up projects that meet the needs of people in the area.  I have a long background in Lewisham having lived in the Borough for the past 29 years, latterly in Ladywell,  and working as a freelancer supporter of charities and social enterprises have in the last five years been involved with helping to establish several local projects in the ward such as the Crofton Park Community Library and the community garden situated behind Crofton Park Station. I also help run the user group for Ladywell Fields which is part located in the ward.  I know Crofton Park well and am very much looking forward to working with as many local organisations as possible to help them start and sustain local projects. My priority at the moment is talking to people in the area about the issues that they see as important in the ward. The initial view I have is that there is a lot of potential to bring in external funding to help start or sustain innovative projects in the ward.  I am always happy to receive calls or emails from people with innovative ideas for new projects or any community needs that that they feel are not at present being met.  Feel free to contact me on: Email: or via mobile: 07905 164 705
